San Juan Capistrano Mission

Tim took Josie to the San Juan Capistrano Mission. Josie took SO many pictures, not all came out well. Posted the ones she remembered what they were. A couple she was not so sure! She helped me label what everything was. Tim's participation with some home schooling. He enjoys History a lot.

This mission is a historical landmark

San Juan Capistrano Mission plaque

 A plaque stating that President Nixon and his wife where there in 1969 and rang the bell.

 This is where the soldiers and priest ate their meals.

  This is an olive mill used to crush olives to make oil.

 They used the holes they found in rocks to crush acorns and nuts with rocks.
 A rock bowl to do the same as above.

Outdoor oven. Women build a fire in and then put fire out, clean out and put bread to cook like an oven.
