Ear Piercing and the Mall

 Since Josie was 6 we have talked about getting her ears pierced. She would say yes, then no, several times. She was scared of the pain. She asked me why I didn't get hers done when she was a baby. (Makenzye and Savannah were 3 and 5 months when I got theirs done) I told her that she cried A LOT, (sometimes inconsolable) as a baby and I didn't want to give her more reason to cry. My older 3 kids were always consolable no matter what, so it was very foreign to me. Well, I was going to watch Dina for a week, 24/7 while her mom recovered from surgery and they asked if I would get Dina's done. So I planned on making it a fun trip to the mall together. Josie was still not sure, but did it, even after watching Dina go first. Josie has been great at cleaning them her self. She just makes it part of her routine after showering. Josie actually laughed because it didn't hurt. Dina did cry but was consolable.

  Then they played at the indoor playground.....Josie still loves it....i only let her play when we have Dina too! She is actually to big now!

 Then they went on the carousel. Josie knows a lot more then she should for a 9 year old and can be very mature but  I love times like this when she can be a little kid if only for a moment.

Skater Girls!

The owners of the dogs that Josie walks give her bonuses in addition to her pay every month. They gave her a gift card to Vans where we never go. So I took her there to see if she liked anything. She got some slips shoes with hearts on them and the Vans hat. She decided to wear it sideways. I wanted to take a picture and this is how she posed for me. Got out a skateboard we have had for a long time just not using.

 Josie left them out(shocker) for Dina to get and she put them on and stood on the skateboard like she saw Josie do. Had to take a picture!

 Then another day she wanted pictures of her riding the skateboard!

 Then she did some more posing!

Josie finished the rest of the bread while Kyle and Dina headed to the playground.  The ducks and seagulls were following her.
