Josie's Field Trips

Josie's class went on two field trips this year. I was able to go on one of them. First, we rode a bus to a regional park that had a fossil museum. They were able to hike in some hills for fossils of beach things (shells, sand dollars, starfish etc). We had lunch and played at the playground too!
The second one I was not able to go to was a walk to a nearby Coco's restaurant. They got a tour of the kitchen. They learned what they do there and then got to go into the walk in freezer. Then they fed them all free pancakes!

Josie and her two friends N and S were who I was in charge of. This is in front of the museum building.

This is the paleontologist doing her presentation. She was extremely funny and had all the kids, teachers and parents laughing the whole time! Her name was Lisa!

One half of a a T Rex jaw.

Josie was so excited to be chosen as the volunteer to see how large the T Rex jaw was.

Inside the museum she did not want to pose for the picture.

After lunch we walked around the lake to the playground.

At the playground...she just wanted to climb the rocks.
Tried this side first...didn't make it...

the other side she could climb to the top!
