Josie's bones

There has still been no definite diagnosis for the pain Josie gets in her knee. They can see a change in her bones since they first started seeing her till now. They just don't know what it is. They have ran so many tests to rule out many things. Even all the test to see if it is the start of Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. All test say are negetive but something is going on in her bones! It is so frustrating to me, Josie and doctors. She has started to play on her school playground again and I am not limiting her activity. She is having pain still but now as much and we try to go with out the pain meds. I think they make her get more frustrated and has more trouble concentrating. I think the exercise and acitivity seems to be good for her just needs to rest in between. She wants to move and play all the time so I started to let her and I can tell when it bothers her by the way she runs. When she was on no activity she had more pain and we had to use the pain meds! I am keeping a journal of all her activities and pain, or when I give her meds. Hopefully we can find some kind of pattern for the doctors to find out what it all is and means. Our insurance has changed so we are in the process of switching over the information to the new doctors and specialist.

How frustrating!

I'm glad she's up and moving, though--no little kid ought to have to sit still all the time!

Thanks for the update--I need to be reminded to keep her in my prayers.

(And FYI--your blog page is cute, but the pink writing on the gray and pink background is really hard to read!)

Poor Josie! Have they ruled out Osgood-Schlatter disease too?
