We have started a new tradition in our family. Sunday nights are Tim's night to cook dinner. It has been happening off and on for the last year. Now I think it will stick. He has been a microwave or out to eat cook but now he is venturing out. He has made Jumbo Shells, Spaghetti, Manicotti, Hamburgers, Beef and Bean Burritos, French Toast, Scrambled Eggs and Sausage(we love to have "breakfast" for dinner occasionally) and even a Hamburger Helper kind of meal or two. Actually, Kraft Mac n Cheese a time or too also. Yes, some boxed meals...but he doesn't use the microwave and that is a step up. It is nice to see him getting excited to cook meals and not just heating foods up. The kids gobble it down too, so that is the real test...especially Makenzye. Our family is enjoying this new tradition. I will try to remember to get some pictures...but I have been to busy sitting and relaxing!
I have always loved to cook just hate cleaning up, it has been nice have one night not to worry about what to cook. The kids take turns clearing the table and taking care of the dinner dishes. Plus, everyone washes what they use. It is working pretty good.

Sounds like a good system. Ryan helps me out a lot with the cooking...especially right now while I am pregnant.
Congratulations on a cooking free night!
