Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our Family and Friends

Tim: This year started out very fun, with me getting to perform with my 3 youngest kids in Beauty and The Beast. I had performed the role before – but not with my kids (except Addison!) We had a wonderful time on a Thanksgiving week family cruise to Mexico, courtesy of my parents. We had a WONDERFUL time. We are very THANKFUL!  I am no longer leading the music at church after quite a few years. I now teach Sunday School to the 16 years olds. I love it – I have great kids!  I still perform with The Beatless – but not as much as we used to. Not as many people hiring bands. I’ve been helping out more with Addison’s and Josie’s music careers. I sometimes miss having all the kids together – but I do know it’s been for the best – and everyone is doing well and are happy.

Debbie:  I have been homeschooling Josie since February and I enjoy teaching her even with the hardships it brings. I continue to watch my niece Dina (21 months). I am a taxi driver for Addison and family things with my 2 passengers. I continue to work on improving my sewing and crafting skills via PINTEREST.  I try and keep up on the family blog and have failed lately. I really miss having Savannah  nearby,  but love to send her care packages.  I love that Makenzye stops by a couple of times a week for a pit stop on her way to work. I love to just watch Makenzye and Josie play JUST DANCE, sometimes I join in. I love to go and watch Addison play his music, and am always bummed when I can’t. I am happy to be the behind the scenes part of my performing family!  I loved being on the cruise with everyone and the non-scheduled time we spent together!

Makenzye (20):  I live with my Mom’s parents and  love my independence. I left the movie theater to concentrate on a heavy school load. I miss seeing free movies…but wait I still see them free with my friends who work there. J  Once school was out I worked at Red Robin, as a hostess and at LSI a lending company, weeknights, doing data entry. Once school started again I left Red Robin. I would have been able to graduate next month if I did not change my major from Business to Sociology. I want to be a Social Worker. I have applied to a few Universities and plan on attending one of them  next fall. I enjoy the outdoor,  going on long walks, hiking, roller blading,  and bike riding. I also enjoy playing JUST DANCE with Josie. I love anything Disney, Star Wars, attending concerts and listening  to a wide range of music.

Savannah (18):  At the end of January, I decided to finish out my senior year doing independent study. It is one of the best decisions of my entire life and I don’t regret it at all, even though I thought I might.  I graduated  in early May instead of  late June, so I was able to have a long and fantastic summer! I went on a lot of church youth trips and enjoyed every minute of it. I was very sad that it was my last summer as a youth and at home.  I moved  in with our family friends, The Fjerstads, in McKinleyville, a town in Humboldt County, in northern CA. It is 700 miles away from where I had lived all my life. I miss friends and family but have loved every minute of my time there and  my new friends and “family”.  I attend “College of the Redwoods” and I love everything about the campus. It is beautiful and  has deer running wild everywhere. I especially love the weather. It is rarely hot or sunny and even when the sun shines, it is cold.  I enjoy singing, musicals, drama class and photography.

Addison (16):  I am in my junior year of high school and have been trying really hard to keep my grades up with a heavy  load.  I have a great time in the MMET (Music and Media Entertainment Technology) program at school, performing in all of the shows we do through the year. I love to attend seminary even  though it is so early and I am working on 100% attendance this year. I continue to play in my band Especially the Green Ones (ETGO) with 4 other guys, but keeping a drummer has been difficult. We are on our 3rd one.  I do solo acts when the band can’t make a gig.  Any money I make goes into more music stuff.  I have acquired quite a lot and can now make my own recordings. I have learned all about the functions of the music equipment and spend a lot of time working with it. I loved hanging out at The Teen Club on our family cruise and performed a few times on the cruise. I also enjoyed hanging with Makenzye and Savannah on our rooms balconies.

Josie (9):  I am now being home schooled (a 4th grader) and love it! I attend CHEP (Childhood Home and Education Program) and take Choir, Spanish and 4th grade Club classes there 2 days a week for a couple of hours. I love to help take care of and play with Dina, my cousin. We are good buddies and I like that she comes over every day.   I really enjoyed the family cruise and want to go again. It was the “Best time of my life”! I attended the Camp Carnival for kids a few times. My favorite times were Air Hockey with Uncle Mick, swimming, 24 hour soft serve ice cream and pizza, Splash Pad with Savannah and my first comedy shows!  I have been working on improving my singing skills and love to perform the songs I learn.  I have even started to work on playing the guitar too.    My favorite color is now red and not purple.  I now have a job of walking dogs, 3 of them. Mom helps me and I go 3 days a week and also enjoy the money I make. I have befriended a stray cat and love to play with her when she comes to our house. Animals and being outside are still my favorite….ever!!
