Field Trips

Both of the Field Trips were with CHEP home school group.

Water Safety Day at Huntington Beach Lifeguard Station

I was not able to go, so Makenzye and Savannah went with her on this Field Trip. I had to drive Addison from school to a school gig.

LA Harbor cruise around terminal island in San Pedro. Josie did not want to go and it was so tempting to not...I didn't feel good that morning and was a bit of a drive...but we went and she and I LOVED it. We hung out with her new friend and her mom. Savannah watched Dina...only kids 3 and older could go. It was a beautiful day and they gave them a checklist to check out what they see. It was a great day!

Before we walked to the meeting place.

Saw several of these huge starfish along the edge of the water.

Boarding area was next to the Maritime Museum and all of these were out in front of the building!

This is what it did! Josie's arms got very tired!

This is the Berth number where the boat took off from

 Boarding!

On the cruise with A!

Lots of sea lions hanging out under the fish market! You can see the checklist they gave them to check off what they see. Example: sea lions, seagulls, pelicans, fire boats, cargo boats, tug boats etc.

Don't remember the name of this ship...USS Iowa or something.

After the cruise we walked around a little at Ports O Call and had lunch with Josie's friend A and her Mom.

Field trips feel like so much work at first, but then they're so worth it. Looks like fun! And Josie is looking so grown up!
