More Preparing/Learning!

Activity at church with girls 8 to 11 years old...with Mother's. The theme was Charity! Hence the chocolate lollipops with Cherry-T, with the scripture- Doctrine and Covenants 64: 33 "And out of small things proceedeth that which is great. " Decorations were all in black, white and red. We each brought a pillow case and learned to make dresses out of them and send them to Uganda to girls who do not have dresses! A wonderful service project. The lunch was pretty awesome too. Josie discovered she LOVES croissant sandwiches!




We got lots of lemons from Mick and Rita. Josie cuts lemons and I squeezed them. We froze the juice. I showed Josie also that cutting lemons into quarters, you put them down the garbage disposal to freshen it. I think, the skin helps to sharpen the blades too.





Josie was introduced to Chickarini, (I think it was progresso) soup a few years ago at a friend's house. I would buy the can version for her on occasion. Found out it is also called Italian Wedding Soup. Found a recipe online. I don't remember who or where it was and I changed it a bit! We let it cook in the Crock pot all day. It was so good and the rest of the family loved it too. She helped make and roll the meatballs and cut the carrots and celery! Forgot to take a picture of the finished soup. Will do it next time!
