Milestone for Josie

We have been working with Josie to ride her bike without the training wheels for almost a year now. It would be only a little here and there. She was not really interested after taking a bad tumble with training wheels on after a sharp turn. I have mentioned to her the last few days that maybe we could try again. She was not to sure. She would not want me to attempt to let go. When I did she would grab for me and just let go of the bike. Not a good idea by the way. After an hour in the car of driving everyone else around yesterday afternoon...she asked if we could try. So we did and she was so excited. She was riding down the street when Dad came home and he was so happy for her. Now he is planning bike rides with her. She still is rusty on starting and stopping well, but did not want to stop riding last night. Her bike is pretty rusty too. It has been sitting so long. Guess what she will get for her birthday. She will be so ready by then for the challenge of a new slightly bigger bike.

There is the tongue again...guess it comes out when she concentrates!
