"Seussical the Musical"

Savannah, Addison and Josie were in MYARTS production of "Seussical the Musical". It is a Broadway play that started in 2000. It is comprised of many Dr. Seuss books and characters put into one story. If you want to read more about the plot and characters go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seussical.

They had a great time...they are sad it is over even though it is a lot of work and time. They have made great friends through all the shows they have been in. There were 180 cast members in this show. It is amazing how it all comes together with all the age ranges.

These are just the pictures we took...there was a professional photographer that takes them during shows on stage. (We are not allowed to) Those will come later.

Opening night they make a big deal out of it and have a "Gala Night". They get to ride in old fashion cars from backstage to the front, where a red carpet and their fans are waiting. They get to walk the red carpet into the theater and again to backstage and get in their places as the audience is let in the theater. They performed in 9 shows. Each character has 4 or 5 people playing it and each person will get 1-3 shows. They were part of the ensemble cast (dancing and singing) for opening night.

This is what the younger ones do backstage in the holding room to wait for their time on stage. They are playing Apples to Apples. There are also many DS games being played...coloring and anything else that can keep them busy during the down time.

This is Savannah and Hannah C. There was a dance number when these outfits were worn with florescent shoes too, with only a black light on them. It was a cool dance. It looked like only feet, hands and hats were there.
