I went with Josie and her class on their field trip last week. It was wonderful. I had never been there before and always wanted to go. Tim and Savannah have this weird thing about fish. Don't care for them at all, actually scared I would say.Anyway, we have never went as a family. So, when the flier came from Josie's class that parents who would like to go, it would be only $10.50 for a ticket. I jumped at it. Of course I took my camera and took so many pix. There are a lot here and it is not all of the ones I took. I actually got to ride the bus with the kids and was given one kid in addition to Josie to wander around with on our own. I thought this was nice, because other field trips I have been on, I was an extra adult to take the whole class around the zoo or museum we were at. It was nice to have a small group.
Enjoy the pictures and hope it can help you experience it if you have not been there or get you to go or make a return visit.
She wanted to play at the fountain at the entrance and gave me this face when I said "No, we are going in now". She loves fountains.
Waiting with K, N and M to go into theater to see a presentation before walking around.
This big fish just kept staring at the girls.
I thought this was very ugly and weird looking.
I think that jelly fish are very fascinating.
All of the hands on things were Josie's favorite. Had absolutely no fear touching anything. I only touched the stingray once and was good with that.
Stingrays
Baby tiger sharks...she put her 2 fingers in right away!
The Sea anemone...she loved how the tentacles hugged her finger and was in awe how it was them stinging her but human skin in so thick you can't feel it.
Sea Stars
These birds were such fast swimmers I couldn't get a good picture of them.
I was amazed at how long and thin these birds legs were.
Lunchtime on grass in front of Aquarium. After finsihing her lunch she could not resist chasing the birds. She loves to do this no matter where we are.
Got to see some scuba divers cleaning the tanks.
After lunch time most time was spent here playing on the statues that squirt water. Of course, after we did all the touching again.
She got all the way in this shell with just feet sticking out...then reversed herself.
Since she got so wet playing...they had this shark head that worked like a blow dryer to help dry her off.
Josie and M were excited to see this tank filled with lots of Nemo and Dori fish.
I thought this crabs were huge. This one was dancing for the kids.
Josie's teacher snapped a picture of her and I together in from of the huge scary whale and baby hanging from the ceiling, right before we left.
Got all the kids together with their teacher beforea leaving the aquarium.
